YB Locks entered the padlock category with a premium positioning that the category had largely ignored. Most padlock brands communicate on features and price. YB Locks was built to communicate on quality, craft and the confidence that comes from knowing something is made properly.

Hardware is not a category that invites design ambition. The brief was to bring genuine premium thinking to a product that most buyers treat as a commodity, and to make that positioning credible at every touchpoint from the logo to the packaging insert.
