Brand Identity

The challenge here was one of tension, and the brief was to make that tension an asset. Durailio is an Italian food brand built for the German retail market: a country with exacting standards for quality, provenance and honesty in food. The Italian heritage was the credential. Germany was the context. Neither could be sacrificed for the other.

We built a brand identity that spoke the language of Italian craft without performing it. The visual references are rooted in tradition: considered typography, a restrained color palette, a mark that carries the weight of something made with care over time. But the overall register is precise and confident in a way that lands with a German consumer who expects quality to be demonstrated rather than announced. The result is a brand that reads as authentically Italian in Germany, and authentically credible everywhere else.
